The six regions
Transylvania
Hunting in Transylvania, the heart of the Romanian tradition — brown bear, red deer, chamois, boar and roe in highland forest and alpine meadow.
Maramureș
Hunting in Maramureș, the wild north of the Romanian Carpathians — brown bear, wolf, a long red deer rut and strong wild boar in deep beech forest.
Muntenia & Oltenia
Hunting in Wallachia, southern Romania — Danube waterfowl and pheasant on the lakes and field edges, plus wild boar, red deer and chamois in the Gorj mountains.
Bucovina & Moldova
Hunting in Bucovina and Moldova, northern Romania — deep-forest stalking for strong red deer and wild boar, with roe deer, wolf and woodcock.
Crișana & Banat
Hunting in Crișana and the Banat, our home region in western Romania — Apuseni karst forest and game-rich lowland for boar, red deer, roe and mouflon.
Dobrogea & the Danube Delta
Hunting between the Danube and the Black Sea — the Delta and Dobrogea are the best waterfowl country in Romania: duck, geese, coot and quail.
HOW WE PICK FOR YOU
Match the region to the hunt
If you already know what you want to hunt, we will tell you where. We hunt mouflon on our own ground, in Crișana and the Banat. Driven boar and estate stalking run in Transylvania, the September stag rut in Maramureș. For duck and goose we go to the Wallachian plain and the Delta, and for deep-woodland stalking to the quiet forests of Bucovina and Moldova.
If you have not decided yet, start from the season: roe buck runs from May to the end of summer, autumn brings the rut and the mountain stalks, and winter the driven boar, the fox and jackal, and the waterfowl flights. Bear, wolf and lynx have no season — they can only be hunted if the Ministry issues a quota. Write to us and we will tell you where it stands.
