ABOUT THE SHOOT
What to expect
Pheasant is hunted in two formats: walked-up over pointing dogs, or driven with a specialized dog team moving the birds over the gun line. The season runs from 1 October to the end of February.
Lunch is served outdoors mid-shoot — soup, smoked sausage, polenta, fresh bread, hot wine. A fee applies for every pheasant shot, per the trophy-prices table below.
Good to know
Oradea, Cluj, or Timișoara — whichever is closest to your hunting zone. Airport transfer arranged on request (not included in the package).
Hotel, guesthouse, or hunting cabin — depending on your hunting zone.
Common choice: 12-ga over-and-under, 30" barrels, modified chokes.
Rifles, shotguns, and ammunition can be rented on site — bring a valid hunting permit from your home country and we'll sort the rest at booking.
Tweeds welcome; breeks + boots fine. Cap, gloves, ear protection.

Peak trophy quality and activity inside the legal window.
- Firearms only — crossbows, bows, traps and snares are not lawful hunting means in Romania.
- Thermal and night-vision sights are not permitted for this species.
- No hunting at feeders, or between sunset and sunrise.
Reference dates only. The Romanian Ministry of Environment's annual hunting order is authoritative; quotas for derogation species (bear, wolf, lynx) shift independently. We confirm the operative rules at booking.
